As said by many how Sterling is even in the squad let alone in the team is beyond me.

Re: England v. Wales
He has to go for it again, win the group.

Start Sturridge and Vardy up top and bench Kane

Re: England v. Wales
The fact Hodgson is the highest paid manager at the tournament is laughable.

Vardy and Sturridge were the two most obvious substitutions ever, and he's being praised for them today!

Sterling is utter SHIT and I'm really not sure what is up with Kane.

I think he'll rest a few players Monday night... Wilshere, Milner, Henderson maybe to come in.

Coming back from the game yesterday a Spud I was talking to reckons Kane and Alli arent playing close enough together and Rooney is getting in the way.

Kane to me looks jaded. Playing up top all season on your Tod has caught up with him.

Re: England v. Wales
I think we'll look better with Sturridge and Vardy playing when we're playing a team that won't sit as deep as possible with 9 men in their box for most of the game.

As for Hodgson, he's still a fucking dog's dinner of a manager despite the result yesterday.

I personally think although Walker is getting up and down very well his end product is pretty poor. Likewise Rose. Both very athletic but yet to see almost any decent final ball or cross from either of them.

Alli has been a bit disappointing save for the first half against Russia. Lallana has been my surprise star man so far, to be honest. Even though he's been played out of position. Rooney has been good but will come unstuck against top drawer midfield opposition.

Re: England v. Wales
Kane and Alli seem to be a bit overwhelmed by it all.

Sterling is just pony.

Re: England v. Wales
Yeah we've got a good chance Bolty. Like Bilic said before the first game against Russia, we have a chance if we allow the forwards to go out there and express themselves.

Instead Roy changed to a 451 for Rooney's sake and told them to play it around midfield and use Walker as our main attacking threat with long cross field balls to him.

He's a prat.

1-0 down to Wales and getting booed off at Half Time is the best thing that happened to English football.

We are back to a formation where it suits the 23 men he picked originally.

Re: England v. Wales
We were in effective until Sturridge and Vardy came on. Going forwards we looked to have more about us (which I know wasn't difficult from the first half).

There's been no stand out team, and in actual fact the level of football in this euros has been thus far pretty poor in my opinion.

We have as good a chance as anybody.

Re: England v. Wales
Ronnie's nailed it.

Wales were shit, with one effort on goal, and England, for all the possession were slow and ineffective.

Got to leave out Harry the Spaz, Sterling and Comical Alli for the next game.

Re: England v. Wales
Hodgson's a con man. He even tried to make out that Vardy and Sturrigde was his preferred option but he wanted to ease them into the tournament.

Finally he got Rooney bto take the set pieces wtf is he thinking using Kane for that.

Only promising thing is that no one has really impressed me so far except maybe the Italians as they are very organised.

For England I think we have a good forward line but we will concede at least one goal a game with that shakey defence and goalkeeper.

So QF at best

Re: England v. Wales
i've not studied the possible next round games for england but i believe i heard they get someone from Germany's group??

NI v England would be great.

i-Ron 12:15 Fri Jun 17
Re: England v. Wales
Wales were every bit as shit as I expected them to be.

England were every bit as ineffective as I expected them to be too.

Hopefully now Roy has once again changed his formation, we are going to stick with strikers on the pitch and take the game to the opposition penalty box and stop all this slow midfield passing around doing fuck all.

Walker has been our best player and probably our best attacking outlet for 2 games now.

It did have the feel of a school morning break kick around on the playground.

Re: England v. Wales
Poland and Albania looked decent sides - the same cant be said of anyone in Englands group.

the standard of football on display yesterday was appalling. few times second half the ball was pinging around the Welsh box like an under 10s game.

Johnson 12:06 Fri Jun 17
Re: England v. Wales
The Germans who were poor last night and the French who frustrated against Albania, you mean?

I don't think they're in any position to be looking at anyone in this tournament.

goose 12:05 Fri Jun 17
Re: England v. Wales
there were winners yesterday - only losers........... the game of football being the biggest loser.

i wonder what the Germans, Spanish, French etc etc made of that game?? was like watching a championship game for long periods.

Re: England v. Wales
This tournament has proved that there are barely any Top Class Centre Forwards around.

Pub Bigot 11:31 Fri Jun 17
Re: England v. Wales
He's out if his depth as a manager and as One Macca said, we should hardly be jumping for joy when Wales defence was made up of cloggers.

Re: England v. Wales
Fine margins yesterday for Woy. Half time he was getting sacked, 89mins he was going to get alot of stick, 90 mins + 1, he is a tactical genius!

Credit, where credit's due, but he had to roll the dice at Half time and it paid off.

Grumpster 11:12 Fri Jun 17
Re: England v. Wales
I'll happily watch Sturridge dance another few times in the comp thanks.

Joey Woodwork 10:59 Fri Jun 17
Re: England v. Wales
I don't think anyone has looked particularly great so far.
